The first documentation we possess with regard to this Heidebauern community is dated 1187.  At that time it was called Reugen.  It later became a market town and was the birth place of Franz Liszt, better known there as Franz Lisztmayer.  Unfortunately I have only limited information on the names of families who had their origins here and they are as follows:

                                            Blaser

                                            Bohm

                                            Fischer*

    Dear Mr. Fischer,
My father was born 1923 at Ragendorf. His family name is Prutzer. His mother(nee Stampfl) and brother also Born there.
Both names not mentioned in your list.
When I visited (Rajka) 1976 for the first time, I remember Meixner,Hutfles and Stampfl names on tombstones on the cemetary next to the Protestant church. Found your articles by Chance and made me speachless how detailed your Research is for other Areas and hope instantly for contributions to Ragendorf page thru other Readers.Thank you very much for your efforts.
